A 'navigator' moves through life as a result of his or her direct link with universal consciousness. For readers interested in practicing this art for themselves, Wolf summarizes the how-to of navigating life. It was first taught by Carlos Castaneda in his popular books of shamanic experience, books which sparked the New Age movement of the '70s and '80s. Now, Wolf tells his own amazing story of action guided by synchronicity. Whoever has the audacity to ask the question "What does Life want me to do?" will learn here to find the answer.
About the Author
While on a two year writing retreat in Sri Lanka, Felix Wolf found himself unexpectedly initiated into the mythological world of anthropologist and shaman Carlos Castaneda. This encounter led to a magical odyssey around the globe and culminated in a three-year apprenticeship with Castaneda until his death in 1998. During this time Wolf translated some of Castaneda's writings into his native German and served as his simultaneous translator.
Felix Wolf is an avid lucid dreamer and visionary, deeply engaged in furthering the process of our collective awakening. He has lectured internationally to a variety of audiences about holistic medicine, awareness, and the art of navigation. He currently lives in Honolulu, Hawaii, with his wife, Carmela.

Spiritual Adventures
By Skye
Reading "The Art of Navigation" helped me remember things I need to remember: that the spiritual life is a great adventure, in both inner and outer worlds, filled with magic, adventure, revelations, love and joy, and that I am guided every step of the way on this path. Just reading the book opens doorways in consciousness. Personal stories from the author's magical path through life teach by example. Felix Wolf draws on his 20 years experience as a follower, personal student and translator of Carlos Castenada to instruct the reader in the art of navigation, based on stilling the internal dialogue, aligning with Intent, being connected to the flow and mystery of life, and following the signals and guides that are always there. Reading this book is a highly enjoyable and also very transformative experience.

Saddened by Such a Deceptive Title
By Insomniac
I am disappointed in this book. I expected much, much more...
It takes a great deal to compel me to speak negatively about someone-especially a person I haven't directly interacted with. My strong feeling is that the author is simply trying to cash in on his verifiable association with CC.
The "travels" are mostly simply locations in various countries where the author lived. I don't doubt that the author was connected with CC, but there is very little in the book to do with Toltec beliefs.
I have read most of the "Matus/Castaneda" canon and have dog eared and highlighted MANY pages in each of those books. There are only two pages in this book that I have marked.
This book is NOTHING like the works of Abelar or Donner. I don't see how anyone could gain any new or enhanced Toltec insights from this book.
There is now a large collection of books concerning CC and JMatus available to anyone. I recommend the reader spends time with those works that describe different perceptions, alternate views of reality and compelling experiences. Who cares if a drunken fisherman exposed himself to a sleeping woman?
The "Art of Navigation" is, in my opinion, a direct tie in to CC's "The Art of Dreaming." Astute readers of Toltec literature will shake their heads after reading this book. The title misled me completely. The positive reviewers seem unconcerned with Toltec tenets and the published accounts of experiences caused by a movement of the assemblage point or "Seeing."
"...and Beyond" in the title suggested to me, travels in nonordinary reality, not going to Hawaii...
Save your time and money. This book will not help you on the Toltec path. What a shame...

Magical and exciting adventure story for expanding awareness
By Natalie F. Hogeboom
The Art of Navigation is a magical and exciting adventure story, beautifully written, about navigating your way through life by learning how to read and respond to signs that the universe sends you. The author has an amazing power to transport you to the places around the world where he lived and travelled, and through the extraordinary experiences that transformed him. Of the many incidents that gave me goose bumps, were his encounters with Carlos Castaneda who, over time, completely changed his life. While living in the mountains of Sri Lanka, the author meets a mysterious man from Peru named "Miguel", presumably working with the United Nations. When he asks for his address in Peru, "Miguel" says: "you will find me". Years later in Germany, he discovers a sketch of Carlos Castaneda, instantly realizing this was the same Miguel. The book is filled with intriguing events and encounters that awoke me to these kinds of experiences as they happen in my own life. The Art of Navigation leaves you captivated, wanting more, and thinking about your own life: How can I use the powerful process of navigation and the power of intent to live my life to the fullest by always being in the moment with full awareness?
